Yeah, I know, more Romance. Deal with it. Anyway, this novel followed a pretty standard story arc, but what made me really enjoy reading it were the characters. The story follows Miranda, who has (secretly) taken over the design for her late husband’s architecture firm. She has to keep it secret, since the story is set in a time where that just wasn’t done, but unexpected events require her to represent the company (as herself – at least she didn’t dress up as a man) on a job with a particularly handsome/rich/titled client. You see where this is going, right? Anyway, the plot kept moving (a plus for me), the characters were likeable, and I am a huge fan of seeing confident/strong/independent female characters in romance novels.
